Heads Up Display

I Modified the working Heads Up Display with my own art utilizing Scaleform with Adobe Flash. The working life counter was not a built in function. I added this function to the H.U.D.

Kismet: Heads Up Display Life Counter

Upon the player spawning, this Kismet checks the number of lives the player character has. If the player vharacter has lives remaining, it updates the H.U.D. information. If the number is zero then it will remove the player from game and play the game over movie.

Kismet: HUD Attachment and Respawn Location

Upon the player character re-spawning, this Kismet checks the last trigger location activated by the player character. The character is respawned at that last trigger location. The H.U.D. is attached upon loading of the game level. The ambient audio file is also loaded at this time.

This is the kismet high level scripting and Matinees which controls the fire traps. If the player is hit with the fire projected from either trap, the player will damage the player character with impact (momentum) and fire (amount) damage.

When the variable has been reached, the player earns a “challenge complete” trophy icon which appears on the lower left side of the screen.
